Gamaya is a winner of Prix Strategis 2017




The jury of the Prix Strategis, made up of experts in various fields and influential figures from the economic world of Romandy, crowned Gamaya as the winner of the Strategis 2017 Award on Tuesday April 25th. The winner received a CHF 50’000.- cheque during the ceremony. Per the criteria of innovation, product realization and capacity of expansion, established by the Prix Strategis, the jury saw in Gamaya the best candidate for the journalist of the competition.

For more than 23 years, the Prix Strategis has been rewarding the best start-up of Switzerland. Besides the CHF 50’000.- cheque, winning the Prix Strategis also means earning the recognition of the jury, which is composed by leading figures of Western Switzerland. The Prix Strategis is one of the most press-covered entrepreneurship contest in Switzerland. The mediatic fallouts are very considerable for the winners and promote the participating start-up to the public and potential investors.

Gamaya improves efficiency and productivity of agricultural businesses by empowering farmers with timely intelligence and situational awareness of their land and crops using unique combination of airborne hyperspectral imaging and artificial intelligence. Gamaya services facilitate optimum use of fuel, chemicals and fertilisers, resulting in larger and better yields, while minimising the impact on the environment. Gamaya envisions a transition towards sustainable agriculture and global food security through universal access to agronomy knowledge and best farming practices, as well as smarter flow of information across the food production value chain.
