In particular, over the course of the last 10,000 years, humanity has experience a small number of critical technological advances that have effectively shifted the ecological niche occupied by our species. Today, we are leaving in a society that is fully dependent on unsustainable consumption of fossil fuels, soil and water in order to produce food.
