Gamaya nominated for the W. A. Vigier award
Gamaya, a Swiss AgTech startup active in smart farming, was nominated for the prestigious W.A. Vigier award. The Vigier Award is the oldest and highest endowed prize for startups in Switzerland, giving away CHF 100‘000 to five startups each year. This year the W. A. Vigier Foundation selected 10 most prominent and innovative startups in Switzerland our of more than 200 submitted applications. More information about all nominees can be found here.

Gamaya has been incorporated in 2015 and since then raised more than 1 million CHF in seed financing. Gamaya provides a comprehensive solution for advanced diagnostics of crops for precision agriculture. Our mission is to enable sustainable industrial agriculture by empowering farmers with unprecedented level of situational awareness on their land and crops. We utilise a combination of unique patented hyperspectal imaging technology, and Big Data analytics to address and resolve specific efficiency bottlenecks within the production methodology of our clients. Some of the information services that we provide include the detection and diagnostics of crop disease, classification of weeds, analysis of soil, optimization of fertilization, as well as prediction of yield. Our unique solution facilitates unprecedented level of situational awareness and helps to increase profit margin per hectare of industrial farmers up to 100%.
